Widener Will Require Sign-Ins at Stacks

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Students entering the stacks of Widener Library will be required to sign a register as well as show stack passes, according to new rules planned for introduction in the near future.

Additional changes in the regulations are also being considered.

A library official said that the new rules are necessary because of the number of books damaged or misplaced by people in the stacks.

The latest change follows another rules revision of a few weeks ago. At that time the library administration tightened the rules on renewal of books borrowed from Widener.
