Varsity Track Squad Faces Weak Brown

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After 14 consecutive dual meet victories and a solid triumph over Holy Cross on Tuesday the varsity track team will try once again to raise some enthusiasm for their meet at Brown tomorrow afternoon.

And if the recent Brown press releases are any indication of Bruin strength, the track men shouldn't even bother. Although Brown managed to tie Holy Cross 70 to 70 in their meet last week, the Bruins appear to be weaker than the Crusaders. Harvard beat Holy Cross 88 to 61.

The only races which should be at all interesting will be the mile and two mile. Bruin distance star Dave Farley has had a friendly rivalry with the Crimson's Eddie Meehan for three years now, and turned in a fine 1:51.4 half-mile time in the Penn Relays.

Next week's schedule will be more difficult. On Tuesday and Wednesday the track team will enter the Greater Boston Intercollegiate Championship Meet at Brandeis.
