Yardling Booters Defeat B.U., 8-0, Coach Says More Work Is Needed

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

It the Boston University freshman soccer team has three potential All-Americans, as B.U. coach Roy Sigler said they do they probably didn't play against the Harvard freshman team last Saturday morning on the Business School field Harvard won, 8-0.

"There weren't any All-Americans that I saw on the field today, B.U. wasn't tough," Harvard coach Dana Getchell said after the game.

Slippery

Scoring easily despite a slippery field, the Yardlings played most of the game around the B.U. goal Emmanuel Ekama, center half, scored at 5:17 of the first period on a long free kick that eluded the Terrier goalie. From that point on, Harvard's scoring was done by Christos Papagianis and Bobby Auritt. Center forward Papaginis scored five goals, giving him eight in two games, and Auritt, the right wing scored twice and had four assists.

Need A Team

Getchell said he felt that Rick Scott, fullback, and Ekama played well, but still wasn't sure of his starting line-up, and probably won't be for a few more games. "Auritt and Papagianis are good players." Getchell said. "and will be better when we get a team to play with them."

Lot of Work

"We've still got a lot of work to do," Getchell said. He said that if the freshman team expects to do as well against tougher teams like Princeton and Brown later in the season, they will have to improve their individual skills and teamwork.

In preparing for upcoming matches against M.I.T. and Exeter, Getchell said. "Our big job is getting a group that will work well together."
