Quincy Declares CRR Vote Valid Despite Protests

The Quincy House Committee last night acknowledged that serious procedural mistakes were made in Thursday's election of the Quincy representative to the CRR but accepted the results, saying it did not want to waste more time on the question.

Lawrence S. DiCara '71, QHC chairman, said during the debate on the election, "I'd advise you to make it quick because we have a lot to do." Other topics on the night's agenda included a future mixer, and sending a bus to the Princeton game.

Only 150 house members out of 420 voted in Thursday's election in which Frederic D. Barton '70 was elected. House members organized a boycott because of the House Committee's irregular election procedure.

Arthur E. Lasky '72 organized Thursday's boycott and asked the House Committee to reconsider the election. "The mistakes made by the House Committee changed the entire complexion of the election," Lasky said.
