After failing to click smoothly in the first two periods, the freshman hockey team tallied four goals in the final fifteen minutes to romp over Northeastern, 7-2 yesterday at Watson Rink.
Entering the game with a 5-9 record, the Huskies wrecked Harvard's complacency with a goal after one minute of play, but David Hynes's 33rd goal of the year evened the contest. Bobby Muso's slap shot canceled another NU score, and Bob McManama gave the Yardlings a between-period lead.
An injury to Hynes, which took him out of the game, and frequent penalties marred the second period; which saw no scoring despite frequent defensive miscues by both teams.
The Yardlings will put a 14-1 record on the line against B. C. on Saturday in their toughest remaining contest. In December, the Crimson had to come from behind for a 6-5 victory over the Eaglets.
