The Crimson golfers, coming off a disappointing performance at the Easterns over the weekend, will begin the last week of their season today in a match against Brown at Providence.

"The Easterns kind of blew the season for us. We played badly when it counted," said John Stoviak, the Crimson's number two man. "Now we just have to set a 10-5 season as our goal. We can salvage at least that much by winning our matches this week."

The Harvard linksmen. 5-5 this year in dual competition, shot 404 in the rain-drenched Easterns to finish eighth, 13 strokes behind the leaders. Yale and Penn State, Brown shot 400 to wind up fifth in the field.

The Bruins have an 8-2 record this season. Their victories include an impressive six-stroke victory over Yale.

Tyler Chase and Bill Roland have been the most consistent scorers for the Brown linksmen. Tom Cookman led the Bruins in the Easterns, placing sixth individually with a 76.
