Jo Jo White and John Havlicek sparked a fabulous all-around team effort as the Boston Celtics breezed to a 134-108 victory over the New York Knicks yesterday in the opening game of their National Basketball Association Eastern championship series.
White scored 30 points, and Havlicks contributed 26; but they had plenty of help as the Celtics got off to a fast start in the best-of-seven playoff.
