The National Labor Relations Board has tentatively scheduled the Harvard-Boston Typographical Union hearing for March 5, when it will resume after nearly a month's recess. There may even be a further delay in the hearing, since the University wants it moved another week into March.
Meanwhile, Richard T. Coleman has quit as the BTU's lawyer in the hearing. Coleman said yesterday he quit "because I wanted to," and with the BTU's concurrence.
He said he was only hired to fill in for another lawyer--and he has done work for the Graphic Arts International Union, which is along with Harvard opposing the BTU in the hearing. The hearing will determine who has jurisdiction over workers in Harvard's Cold-Type Composition Center.
