The Commonwealth School, a private school in Boston, playing with four men in key positions, topped the Radcliffe booters, 2-0, yesterday afternoon.
"We dominated play and had some good chances to score," Radcliffe Coach Bob Scalise said after the game. "I think we could have scored on a female goalie." Commonwealth played the men at goalie, center fullback, center halfback and forward in the "scrimmage."
Having defeated Villanova last Saturday, 4-1, the booters are 3-3 on the season. Forward Sally Kingsberg led the 'Cliffe effort against Villanova, drilling home two of the scores.
Radcliffe travels to Smith on Thursday for what promises to be an interesting game, since Smith plays by women's soccer rules.
