NEW YORK--Alabama's Paul "Bear" Bryant, whose teams have won more games than those of any coach in the history of college football, will resign Wednesday and will be replaced by Ray Perkins, coach of the National Football League's New York Giants, informed sources told the Associated Press Tuesday night.
Bryant coached his teams to 322 victories against just 84 losses and even ties.
