Radcliffe Rugby Captain Louisa Meacham insists the teams were evenly matched.
But considering that the women's rugby team defeated Mt. Holyoke 34-0 Saturday, you may have a hard time believing her.
Radcliffe, now 3-0, entered the game not knowing what to expect from the hosts.
It soon became apparent that the visiting Radcliffe squad wasn't in for much of a challenge, and as a result, it quickly asserted its dominance with several scores early in the first half.
The ruggers broke the game open early in the second half on the kickoff as Elise Balboni took a pass from Jenny Perini and ran it back for a four point try.
On the day Balboni and Meacham were high scorers, each recording two tries.
The game also showcased the talents of two Harvard freshmen, Gillian Caldwell and Heather Flewelling. Flewelling converted three kicks for a total of six points.
THE NOTEBOOK: The "B" team also beat Mt. Holyoke, 10-4. That squad is now 2-0...Both teams will play at Dartmouth Saturday.
