Mike Krukow threw a four-hitter and Bob Brenly hit a tie-breaking home run in the sixth inning to lead the San Francisco Giants 3-2 over the Mets last night in New York.
Krukow (3-5) allowed only two hits after the third inning, striking out nine and walking two.
At Oliver delivered RBI singles in the fourth and fifth innings as the Giants erased a 2-0 deficit.
New York scored both of its runs in the second inning Hubie Brooks singled and scored a triple by Mike Fitzgerald One out later. Jose Oquendo hit a sacrifice fly to score Fitzgerald.
