MEDFORD--The Harvard women's volleyball team saw its record fall to 4-6 last night, losing to Tufts, 3-1, before a standing-room crowd at Tufts' Jackson Gym.
After dropping the first two games of the match, Harvard battled back to win the third game--but quickly saw any hopes of a comeback disappear as Tufts dominated the fourth and final game, 15-5.
The enthusiastic Tufts squad kept the Crimson at arm's length throughout the match, rarely letting Harvard take more than three consecutive points.
In the first game, Tufts jumped out to a 6-2 lead, and weathered several Harvard comebacks to triumph 15-13.
After dropping the second game, 15-9, Harvard came to life in the third game, rallying from 11-5 and 13-10 deficits to pull out a 16-14 decision.
The spikers couldn't transfer any momentum to the fourth game, though, and lost 15-5.
