Coach Cleary was forced to pair Farden with classmate Don Sweeney, but the duo responded well and the Crimson's defensive backbone, Taylor and Benning, played its usual strong game, despite taking countless shifts.

For Clarkson, the game went according to form. The Knights have now last 12 of the 16 semifinal games they have played. Moreover, the Crimson is the only ECAC squad with a winning series mark (23-20-3) against the Green and Gold.

Ohno got the game's initial score, picking up the puck from Brian Busconi at mid-ice and moving into the right circle where his slow shot to the far side eluded Falle at 6:17 of the first period.
