The Harvard sailing team placed third in the Charleston Spring International championship in Charleston, S.C., over the weekend.
The competition, hosted by the College of Charleston (COC), featured seven of the nation's top 10 nationally-ranked teams, including COC, which took first place, Georgia Tech, Brown, Navy, Old Dominion, and Tulane.
In the "A" division, juniors Gordon Burnes and Petra Schumann competed in races one through eight for Harvard, while juniors John Pernick and Jeff Kurland sailed races nine and 10. Overall, Harvard's "A" division finished fourth.
B GOOD
In the "B" division senior Peter Wagner combined with Kurland and freshman Deb Dubin to place second.
