‘The Architect of the Whole Plan’: Harvard Law Graduate Ken Chesebro’s Path to Jan. 6
While the Harvard men's squash team has been gathering all the headlines because of its 68-game winning streak, the women's unit--quietly, steadily--has been recording a modest skein of its own.
The Crimson notched its 12th-straight win with a 8-1 victory over Dartmouth Saturday in Hanover, N.H.
In early February at the Howe Cup championship, the Crimson had recorded a 7-0 decision over the Big Green. Harvard won the national seven-women championship with a perfect 5-0 mark.
The Big Green was hoping to make the match a little closer this time, what with their new glass wall courts. In most sports movies--"Hoosiers" comes to mind--the home team triumphs despite the tremendous obstacles.
Unfortunately, for the Dartmouth fans, the Crimson was writing, producing and editing this script.
Hope Nichols opened the rout for the Crimson with a 15-4, 15-7, 15-10 victory.
Stephanie Clark dropped the first game in her match with Lela Morris, 17-15, but the freshman sensation rebounded to win the next three games, 15-10, 15-7, 15-11. Clark is a serious candidate for the Ivy Rookie of the Year. The freshman hasn't lost a match this season and she has dropped only one game this season.
