First impressions can last too long in wrestling.

The Harvard wrestlers were unable to recover from an early deficit against Cornell Saturday at the Malkin Athletic Center, losing 26-14 in front of 75 spectators. The defeat dropped the grapplers' record to 3-4 in dual meets. The Big Red raised its record to 2-3.

Cornell, the defending Ivy champions, captured the first six events and jumped out to an insurmountable 24-0 lead. The Crimson responded with three wins and a tie in the final four matches, but fell short of victory.
