Mike Kennedy Added as Diving Coach

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Former MIT and Tufts diving coach Mike Kennedy has been named Assistant Coach for Diving of the Harvard men's and women's swimming teams.

Kennedy brings a great deal of success with him to the Crimson. As an undergraduate at Notre Dame, the four-year letterwinner was the Midwest Conference diving champion in 1985.

In his three years at Tufts and MIT, Kennedy coached four Division III All-Americas and one New England women's champion.

As a Harvard coach, Kennedy will directly train and coach all Crimson divers. In doing so, he will have two strong squads to work with.

The women's team--under Coach Maura Costin Scalise--won the Eastern title for the first time last winter. Coach Joe Bernal's men's squad placed second at Easterns this year.

Kennedy will replace Harvard coach John Walker who has retired after 16 years of service in Cambridge.
