The Harvard-Yale rivalry isn't limited to football. Just ask freshman Tasha Cupp of the Harvard softball team, who picked up a win and a save in two memorable games against Yale this past Sunday and Monday.
Cupp came in during the bottom of the 17th inning of the first game with the bases loaded and one out and got the final two outs to preserve Harvard's 3-1 win. Cupp then pitched all 12 innings of Harvard's 3-2 victory in the second game.
The rookie pitched a total of 19 2/3 innings in those games and the two against Brown the day before, allowing only four earned runs. Cupp's performance earned her the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week Award.
Harvard is now 10-7 overall and 3-1 in the Ivy League. Princeton leads the Ancient Eight with a 4-0 record (26-6 overall).
