The staff overstates its case. Putting the CUE guide on-line has been neither counter-productive nor disadvantageous to students. Rather, it has made CUE ratings more easily accessible.
However, the propositions to make courses searchable by rating and to add final exams to the Web site have raised legitimate concerns among Faculty members, notably the question of access by commercial concerns. Professors are not scared of technology for its newness-quite the contrary, both professors and students are aware of the power technology entails and that it should not be extended without due consideration.
Working together, CUE should be able to accommodate Faculty concerns while enhancing the convenience for the student body.
