For the third time in four years, Harvard will host the NCAA Region I Men's Tennis Tournament starting this Friday at Beren Tennis Center.
The three-day competition will feature the region's finest, including 11th-ranked South Alabama.
Making its 13th NCAA appearance, Harvard is coming off of an impressive 6-1 defeat of Dartmouth on Apr. 29 in Hanover. That victory gave Harvard and Dartmouth each a share of the Eastern Collegiate Tennis Association championship.
The two teams will meet again on Friday at 2 p.m.
Although NCAA regulations require the University to charge admission, the Undergraduate Council has offered to pay for the first 25 students through the doors on each day of the tournament.
The first match of the tournament features the fourth seed Virginia Tech against the fifth seeded Penn State beginning at 9 a.m.
