To the editors:
Re "Time to Put Women in Drag, Too" (Opnion, Dec. 10): I agree with Matthew Johnson that it is a shame women are unable to participate in a show that integrates undergraduate theatrical work with professionals in the field. As Matthew Johnson noted, the Visiting Director's Project (VDP) through the Harvard-Radcliffe Dramatic Club (HRDC) only happens once every four semesters, as opposed to the Hasty Pudding The articals annual show. Additionally, the VDP along with the rest of the shows produced through the HRDC, is not privy to the enormous budget that the Hasty Pudding is so privileged to enjoy.
The amount of sheer talent exhibited by women in this community is astounding. I believe it is the responsibility of Harvard's administration to further examine this gaping disparity of opportunities facing female performers here at Harvard. SARA YELLEN '00 Dec. 10, 1998
