The Crimson's Softball Team Wins Again

By The CRIMSON Staff

The Harvard Crimson softball team pulled through with another big win against The Crimson alumni on Saturday afternoon. The 23-2 victory continued Crimson softball's undefeated record and drive to the campus extracurricular championship.

Runs came slowly at first for the Crimson, but with building momentum and team spirit, the players rose to the occasion for the final win.

In a nine-inning display of raw offensive might, Crimson players cracked the bats and opposing fielders. Juniors Dave Farenthold and Rich Perez cleared the fence with their homers while other batters made their way to first by finding holes in the slow-footed alumni defense.

In the field, junior Greg Krauss built a wall to cover second base. Junior outfielders Josh Simon and Noah Oppenheim came through with flawless defense, while catcher Meredith Osborne caught pop-ups at he plate.

Next week, the Crimson team hopes will continue its spotless record against the hopelessly incompetent Harvard Independent.
