Women's Golf Takes Seventh

The Harvard women’s golf team finished seventh in the 15-team Princeton Invitational over the weekend, firing a 330-336—666 to finish 45 shots back of champion Princeton.

The Crimson also finished just a single stroke behind Brown—a disappointment for the squad, considering that Harvard had led the Bears by four strokes at the culmination of the first day of play.

Individually, the Crimson was paced by freshman Katie Loncke. Playing in just her second collegiate tournament, Loncke fired an opening-round 78 to put her in a tie for fourth place after Saturday’s play. She eventually settled for a 78-85—163 and a share of 14th place.

Senior J.J. Kang recorded an 84-84—168 and finished tied for 27th, while freshman Debbi Amanti posted an 85-84-169 to take a share of 29th. Jessica Hazlett—the third of a trio of Harvard freshman—shot an 83-90—173 to finish 37th
