FEMALE BREAKOUT OF THE YEAR, RUNNER-UP: Kelly and Stacy Blondin, Swimming

By Abigail M. Baird, Crimson Staff Writer

Sophomore twins Kelly and Stacy Blondin competed in 12 separate events freshman year, but never quite found a groove. All that changed when they found their true calling—long distance.

Once the twins discovered the 1,650-yard freestyle this year, they finished one-two every time they competed. When Stacy and Kelly finished first and second, respectively, in both the 1,000 and 1,650 yard freestyles at the Ivy Championships, the two had found cleary their niches.

“This year they started swimming distance and it has worked out really well for them,” said junior Noelle Bassi. “They just found the events they are supposed to be swimming.”
