1) Bands Dressed Up As...Other Bands

Even musicians like to get in on the Halloween action; next Tuesday at the Middle East, the band Taxpayer will pretend to be the Pixies, Ho-Ag will try on Devo’s shiny red hats, the Appreciation Post will dress up like Rocket from the Crypt, and Chainletter will appear as the Cure. If you show up for the 6 p.m. show—which features Honah Lee’s Ladies Nightmare, the Keyhole Burlesque, Vagiant and Sunshine Ward—you can stay the whole night on the same ticket.

2)Hell-o-ween: Hell Night

Featuring everybody’s favorite guest chef—”THE DEVIL”—the East Coast Grill and Raw Bar is rolling out their hottest, most sinfully delicious meals for three straight nights. And if your costume meets the approval of Satan and his culinary comrades, you could win a free Hell Night dinner for two for a year. 3)Boston Babydolls: Out for Blood

If you’re like FM, you’re pining for some good, local burlesque action with a Halloween theme. The Boston Babydolls promise not to disappoint with their “Out for Blood” revue. Putting new spins on some Halloween favorites and going “toe to toe with Mummy Dearest,” this risqué Halloween treat should satisfy the horror/dance enthusiast in all of us. 4) Currier Heaven and Hell

As always, “The Ten-Man is HEAVEN! The Fishbowl is HELL!” in Currier House this Saturday night, as the popular, sweaty, costume-clad party returns after hosting capacity crowds last Halloween. Remember, only tools don’t dress up for Halloween, so go creative.

5)Handel’s “Orlando”

Looking for some non-traditional Halloween fun? Then go super-traditional with Emmanuel Music’s performance of “Orlando,” about a hero who gets mixed up with a hot shepherdess and bewitched by a magician. Spooky! Classical! Spookical! Call 617-536-3356 for reservations.
