With Harvard track and field coach Frank Haggerty ’68 set to retire at the end of this upcoming year, the Crimson paid tribute to the coach and his over 31 years of service to the team this weekend at the Harvard-Yale meet. Durng his tenure with Harvard, four of his athletes have earned Rhodes scholarships, including one during the 2004-2005 year.
On Saturday at McCurdy Track, a number of his former stars returned to pay tribute to Haggerty, joining also in a celebration of the 30 year anniversary of the women’s track and cross country programs.
In the meet itself, the men lost to Yale by a score of 114-48. The women also fell to the rival Bulldogs by a final tally of 86-77.
