Hey Harvard Economics Lecturer Jeffrey Miron! You recently advocated legalizing all drugs on CNN. Even if legalization is the only way to stop the violence, don’t you think that drug use would also increase if drugs were legalized?
“I think it’s plausible we would see a moderate increase. But all of the heavy users are already using, so most of the increase will be in moderate usage. And there would be quality controls for the drugs, similar to the current ones on alcohol and tobacco.”
