The Head of the Charles Regatta is taking place in Cambridge this weekend, as evidenced by the excess of people roaming the Square and the river area.

Although we didn't notice any administrative e-mails about this, we know from signs posted around the Yard that the annual regulations for this weekend are in place. The changes we've noticed are as follows:

1. The Yard will be locked tonight starting at 8 p.m. Guards will be posted at just four entrances to check for Harvard IDs of all entrants.

2. The shuttle has not been running on a regular schedule. Use the shuttle tracker or call the dispatcher at 617-495-0400 to find out when to catch the shuttle.

3. All overnight guests must be registered with House Offices or Freshman Deans.

4. There are to be no student organization or HoCo sponsored parties. ("Private parties" are supposedly allowed.)
