With winter formals fast approaching, you now have the perfect excuse to ask out the hottie in your section, woo your Lamont study buddy, or impress a cute, new beau. Here’s a round-up of the nights, and for the lonely souls out there, take this as a cue to make a move on that crush you’ve been eyeing.

Dunster:  “Wintry Things” Winter Formal

Where: Dunster Dining Hall

When: Dec. 8 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

No interhouse restrictions

Eliot: “When Hell Freezes Over” Winter Formal

Where: Eliot Dining Hall

When: Dec. 6 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Kirkland: “Holiday Dinner and Dance” Winter Formal

Where: Kirkland JCR

When: Dec. 4 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Leverett: “Night at the Top” Winter Formal

Where: Top of the Hub Skywalk Observatory at the Prudential Center

When: Dec. 2 from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. (Champagne reception beforehand at Leverett)

Lowell: “Yule Ball”

When: Dec. 4 from 9:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. (Pre-reception in library starting at 9 p.m. and nightcap starting at 1:30 a.m.)

The Quad: “ICED” Winter Formal

Where: Westin Hotel, Boston

When: Dec. 5 from 10 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
