Lowell Dining Hall Restrictions Return

•

Students looking to stay close to Yard for their meals may have one less option thanks to Lowell House's new dining restrictions.

Lowell, adding itself to the seemingly ever-increasing number of Houses with dining restrictions, will now be restricted to House residents (plus one guest) during lunch on Monday through Friday, Sunday brunch, and from 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. during dinner on Sunday through Thursday.

Students in Cabot will still be able to eat in Lowell House during lunch.

“If you have been to Lowell at all recently, you may have experienced the long waits for food and incredible over-crowding,” wrote Lowell HoCo Chair Julia M. Fifer ’11 in an e-mail to members of other House Committees explaining the new restrictions.

Lowell established similar restrictions last February in an effort to reduce crowding in the dining hall.

A house-by-house list of dining hall restrictions can be found here.

On the bright side, at least the Quad doesn’t have any complicated restrictions.
