God vs. Gay
Jay Michaelson, author of “God vs. Gay? The Religious Case for Equality,” speaks at Harvard Hillel on Thursday. Michaelson spoke of the ways in which religious values interact with acceptance of LGBT people.

Emotions

Goodbye 7-11
The 7-Eleven on the corner of JFK St. and Mt. Auburn St. is set to close this fall. The convenience store will be replaced by a second location of the locally owned Tasty Burger, which will also remain at its original space behind Fenway Park.


Adrienne C. Rich, Class of ‘51, died this week at the age of 82. Rich was internationally known for her explorations of the realities of womens’ lives and of contemporary society with her pose and poetry.

Strong Sute
Senior Brent Suter and the Harvard baseball team captured just their second win of the season this week against non-conference opponent Holy Cross. The Crimson looks to improve its record as it faces its first Ivy adversaries in a pair of doubleheaders against Cornell and Princeton this weekend.

What Can Brown Do For You
Co-captain Rachel Brown and Crimson softball came out on top of the Ivy League last year but will kickoff their 2012 season against conference foe Cornell. The teams have faced off in two-consecutive league championship series, making this year’s matchup especially contentious.
