Nectarines - You rarely see nectarines in the dining halls, so take advantage of their ready availability at the farmers' market! They’re currently at the end of their growing season, so get them while you can. I buy these to eat plain, or to top on yogurt. By Olivia A. Nicholls

Hummus - Samira’s Homemade Food, a small family business offering authentic Egyptian and Lebanese food, has the best hummus. For a great late night snack, I recommend their original or roasted red pepper hummus to dip with their pita, or carrots. By Olivia A. Nicholls

Apples - It’s apple season in Massachusetts! While HUDS does offer apples, check out the farmer’s market for a wider selection of New England’s delicious premier fruit. By Olivia A. Nicholls

Tea - Tea drinkers, stop by Soluna Garden Farm’s stand for their herbal blends. The tea makes a nice, neatly packaged gift for a tea-obsessed friend. Both caffeinated and decaffeinated blends. By Olivia A. Nicholls

Donuts - Union Square Donuts' donuts are, in a word, heavenly. I'll admit, I’ve actually had a dream about eating their sea salted bourbon caramel flavor. The only complaint: they need to bring back the kombucha on tap they sold last year. By Olivia A. Nicholls
