The pamphlet's designers seemed to be going for a see-how-easy-this-is-you-can-do-it-with-our-products aesthetic—simplicity was implied from the slim sans-serif font to the man’s crisp white shirt and unassuming, toothy smile.

I am all about grooving to Rihanna's evocations of a poorly mannered young man's erectile difficulties. But hip-thrusting to "Rude Boy" with 25 middle-aged women at the Alexandria First Presbyterian Church in my small, rural hometown of "No, I Do Not Know Snooki," N.J., seems a little ... incongruous.

Since the center's inception over ten years ago, Zeitels has used laser microsurgery to repair the vocal abilities of over a thousand patients with laryngeal tumors. In November, Dr. Zeitels operated on the Grammy Award-winning singer, Adele, who was suffering from recurrent bleeding of a benign polyp.

I thought I remembered always going to Marine Park to get our Christmas tree—sawdust on the ground, a pile of old cut-up trees in the corner of the parking lot, which would stay there until spring, when the Parks Department trucked them away: same weekend they dragged the baseball fields—but I guess we hadn't been there in a year or two, and three's a pattern for my mother, a math teacher.

I didn't even make first cuts for my high school's freshman tennis team. It was the only sport I had ever really played (in first grade, I was on the soccer team for two practices) and I still lost all six sets in tryouts. I'm just not an athlete.
