The Harvard-Radcliffe Rugby Football Club bypassed traditional forms of fundraising by creating a method of raising money unique to their athleticism: moving. Calling themselves "Radcliffe Movers," members of the Women's Rugby team will work in groups of two and three people to assist students as they move boxes and furniture out of their dorms and into house storage facilities. "We get off-season lifting workouts, you get your stuff moved," reads the tagline on the Radcliffe Movers sign-up form.

The Harvard College Democrats set up a booth outside the Science Center on Wednesday where members of the Harvard community and passersby could throw pies in volunteer's faces. Massachusetts Congressional candidate Sean Bielat raised roughly $175,000 in the first quarter of 2012, according to a campaign spokesperson. The numbers, while still an estimate, push the Fourth District Republican contender over the $200,000 mark with the election still seven months away.

The campaign will likely aim to raise at least $6 billion, according to senior administrators and people with knowledge of the situation, which would likely make it the largest capital campaign ever run by an institution of higher education.
