If you happened to have passed by Brattle Street today, you may have noticed a cluster of multicolored post-it notes brightening the windows of an empty storefront. In response to the words "Who inspires you?" written in bold black sharpie, the post-it notes express gratitude for a range of beloved people and things. If you're looking for a pick-me-up, these 3x3 inch squares may do the trick.

Curious George & Friends, a beloved children’s bookstore prominently located in Harvard Square, will reopen under new management this spring after it closed this past June.

First Printer Restaurant opened its doors last week, boasting a menu of upscale American fare. A plaque identifies the 15 Dunster Street address as the site of America’s first printing press, which was used to publish religious tracts for nearby Harvard College.

New York Times correspondent Jodi Kantor left Harvard Law School to pursue a career in journalism, but this Tuesday evening she returns to Cambridge to discuss and sign copies of her recently released book, "The Obamas," at an event hosted by the Harvard Book Store.

Harvard Square was packed this afternoon with a multitude of chocolate lovers mulling about and sampling desserts from Cambridge businesses such as J.P. Licks and Bertucci's Italian Restaurant. A few hundred individuals also participated in the Harvard Square Treasure Hunt, which took treasure-seekers to Harvard Square stores to answer questions such as "What band and candy, made in Cambridge, share the same name?"

More than 30 volunteers—equipped with blankets, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and scarves—fanned out through Cambridge and Somerville at 2 a.m. Thursday morning to carry out the annual Cambridge Homeless Census, a count that Congress mandates that local homeless service organizations conduct in order to receive funding.

The first phase of a multimillion dollar project meant to increase wheelchair accessibility to the Harvard MBTA station came to a close on Thursday with the opening of a new elevator in Brattle Square, leaving behind a legacy of frustration during the 17-month-long project.
