As Yale freshman Mollie Rogers’ perfectly-placed kill landed in the middle of four Harvard (11-12, 4-9 Ivy) players to seal a convincing 3-0 victory for the Bulldogs (18-5, 12-1), Yale players began celebrating not just a victory over a conference rival but an Ivy League championship.

After a somewhat slow start to the weekend, by dropping a 3-0 decision to Yale on Friday, the Harvard women’s volleyball team (12-12, 5-9 Ivy) never looked back once it got on the board Saturday night.

As Yale freshman Mollie Rogers’ perfectly placed final kill landed in the middle of four Harvard players to seal a convincing victory over the Crimson (11-12, 4-9 Ivy), the Bulldogs (18-5, 12-1) began celebrating not just a 3-0 victory over an arch-rival, but also an Ivy League Championship.

It was on odd reversal of history on Friday night for the Harvard women’s volleyball team. Just over two weeks after defeating Columbia, 3-0, the Crimson (11-10, 4-7 Ivy) fell to the Lions (14-7, 8-3 Ivy) tonight in straight sets, 25-19, 25-22, and 25-20.
