Yale junior Brendan D. Ross, the driver of the U-Haul truck that killed a woman and injured two others at the Harvard-Yale football game this fall, was arrested on Friday.

One of the women injured in the U-Haul crash at the November Harvard-Yale Game tailgate party filed a lawsuit last week seeking at least $15,000 in damages from the Yale undergraduate who was driving the vehicle and the rental truck company.

The quick and dirty about what's been going on around the Ancient Eight (and other schools too).
Dartmouth seems to have found itself in the midst of what IvyGate has described as an "epic hazing scandal." While "epic" brings to mind greatness and heroism, in this case, there seems to be something rotten in the state of New Hampshire. Earlier this month, 27 (!) members of Dartmouth's Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity were charged with hazing violations that occurred during the 2009 and 2011 fall pledge season. Apparently SAE pledges were forced to "swim in a kiddie pool of rotten food, vomit and other bodily fluids; eat omelets made of vomit; and chug cups of vinegar." That's disgusting.

Age-old rivals Harvard and Yale found themselves competing once again as the schools vied to collect the greater quantity of blood in Red Cross-sponsored drives held on each campus during the past two weeks.

Yale quarterback Patrick Witt, who attracted national attention when he faced a decision between playing in the Nov. 19 Harvard-Yale football game or attending an interview for a Rhodes Scholarship, reportedly did not have a choice at all.
