Rowers Emerge As Nation’s Best
The athlete of the week distinction is meant to honor a single weekend’s performance, usually by a single athlete. But when the Harvard lightweight first varsity eight defeated No. 1 Princeton on the Charles this past weekend, it was the product of a season of dedication by an entire team, not just the nine athletes who raced in that eight on Saturday.

A week ago, freshman Kasey Lange torched Holy Cross’s pitchers with three home runs in two games. Home runs are nothing new for the rookie, who ranks second in the Ivy League in the category.
Tetreault’s Five Scores Lead Crimson to Late Victory
In last season’s matchup against Brown, the Harvard women’s lacrosse team fought back from a seven-goal deficit but was unable to finish the comeback, falling, 11-10. This year, Crimson sophomore midfielder Danielle Tetreault made sure that history didn’t repeat itself.
VanderMeulen Delivers in Clutch
After surrendering six unanswered goals to New Hampshire, the Harvard women’s lacrosse team was in danger of having its record drop below .500. But that’s when sophomore Jennifer VanderMeulen did what she does best, scoring the tying and go-ahead goal to lead the team to victory.
Kennifer Shines After Spring Slump
No one was more determined than Kennifer, who helped the team snap its streak with five goals and five steals in a 12-8 victory over Wagner.
Brown Shines in Return to San Diego
Harvard (8-8) racked up four wins and two losses in the UCR tournament, went 1-1 at the Marina Showcase at Loyola Marymount, and lost four times before a much-needed win to end the roadtrip. From the mound, Brown anchored the team throughout.

Kyle Casey took off of one foot, elevated, and posterized a helpless defender. While Casey has performed a number of awe-inspiring plays during his career on the Harvard men’s basketball team, this was perhaps the most spectacular—and certainly the most important.
