Reply Date Extension for Class of 2017 Under Possible Consideration
Following the cancellation of Visitas weekend Friday afternoon, Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid William R. Fitzsimmons ’67 told The Crimson Friday night that officials may consider the possibility of granting an extension for accepted students to reply to their offers of admission to the College.

Marathon Memorial
Many people brought signs; flowers; and other tokens to a memorial set up at the barrier on the intersection of Boylston and Berkley Street; just a few blocks beyond the marathon's finish line. These shoes were brought by Lisa Mara, a Bostonian runner who finished fifteen minutes before the blasts. Other items included a marathon medal, candles, and numerous handwritten letters.
