When ‘The Amazing Race: China Rush’ sent its contestants to a region near the Chinese-Korean border and challenged them to down 1.2 kilograms of Kimchi, most teams became frantic. Charles R. Melvoin ’10 and Ryan K. Burke ’10, on the other hand, quietly drew back their chairs, thanked the servers, and finished the fire-hot Korean dish in under fifteen minutes.
Now I Walk in Beauty: A Poem from Revels RiverSing
On Sunday night hundreds of people gathered near Weeks footbridge on the banks of the Charles River for the 9th annual Revels RiverSing celebration. Filled with music, poetry, and communal singing, this celebration of the fall equinox waved goodbye to summer and ushered in a new and spirited fall season. The poem below was inspired by the upbeat melodies and soaring voices of RiverSing; it is composed entirely from poetic lines and lyrics that emerged throughout the event.

Students gather at Tercentary Theatre for food, games, and other activities at the annual Welcome Back Event.

Clay All Night, an event sponsored by the Office for the Arts, provided free clay for students to model or to spin on the wheel. Studnets had the option of firing and glazing their works by paying or helping with clean-up after the event.
