Yale’s Late Goal Too Much for Crimson
The Harvard field hockey team (2-4, 0-1 Ivy) lost in the final minutes of Saturday’s game against rival Yale (4-1, 1-0 Ivy) at Jordan Field, thus continuing a four-game skid.

Sophomore netminder Cynthia Tassopoulos, shown here in earlier action, recorded six saves to keep the Harvard field hockey team in the game in its Ivy opener against Yale on Saturday. But a late goal from Yale’s Mia Rosati gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead, and the Crimson dropped the game.
Crimson Drops Difficult Matchup Against UNH
The Harvard field hockey team suffered a loss to the University of New Hampshire Wildcats at New Hampshire’s Memorial field last night. The Wildcats were a strong opponent, having won all four previous home games played this season, and last night’s contest proved no different, as New Hampshire (5-2) emerged with a 3-1 victory. The Crimson (2-3) went in knowing that it would be a tough matchup facing an active Wildcat squad.

Rookie Rachael Rosenfield, shown above in previous action, tied the game at one before halftime, but the Crimson let the game get away as the University of New Hampshire field hockey team scored two goals to close out the game. This was Harvard’s last game before league play on Saturday.
Feld of Roses
Freshman Rachael Rosenfeld, shown here in earlier action, netted her first career goal against the University of Maine on Saturday to pull Harvard field hockey into a 1-1 tie. Unfortunately for the Crimson, Rosenfeld’s goal proved to be the only score of the weekend, as Harvard fell 2-1 to the Black Bears before dropping a double overtime contest to Vermont yesterday.

Keller’s pair of second-half goals represented part of a five-score onslaught that broke open the contest against the Crusaders. Keller finished the weekend with three tallies, already nearly matching her season total of five from 2009.
