Shakespeare Birthday Bash
Fans recreate the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet en masse at John Harvard's Brew House on Saturday. The group reading was part of a celebration of Shakespeare's birthday. All events were moved indoors due to inclement weather that resulted in the cancellation of a parade in the Bard's honor.

Lingerie Boutique Opens on JFK Street
Forty Winks, a new lingerie boutique on 56 JFK St. above Shay’s Pub and Wine Bar, opened its doors last Friday, hoping to meet Harvard Square’s demand for lingerie.
The new lingerie boutique that opened in Harvard Square, Forty Winks, offers a wide variety of eco-friendly thongs and other necessary frills. (CORRECTION: The caption for this Apr. 14 news photograph incorrectly stated that Forty Winks was started by the owners of Mint Julep. In fact, the owners of Mint Julep did not contribute to the establishment of the new store. The caption has been changed to reflect this error.)

A New Tavern Opens in the Square
Yesterday night, as we walked past the old Z Square location at 14 JFK St., we noticed something intriguing. The windows were still covered up, no indications of a new business were immediately evident (at least, from where we were standing)...yet there were definitely people inside. We peeked through the door and saw a placard that said something along the lines of "Russell House Tavern closed for a private function." Interesting, we thought. When had a Russell House Tavern opened in Harvard Square?

Free food and drinks were given to the homeless Wednesday night as students and Cambridge residents spoke about their experiences with Christianity.
Breakfast at Subway
If you’re still suffering from hot-breakfast withdrawal, head over to Subway, which started serving breakfast this past Monday. Sanjay Kansagra, the owner of the Subway franchise in The Garage, said that some customers—“mostly working people nearby”—have come in to try the breakfast option, but that most of Subway’s customers do not know about it yet.
