Quick-Flix Goes Bye Bye

Remember those days when family night consisted of actually going to the video store and renting a movie for the evening? Now that iTunes and Netflix are taking over that tradtion, stores like Quick-Flix—currently the only movie rental store in Harvard Square—are being forced to close shop.

Bartley's Window Smashed

Around 10:40 p.m. yesterday, one of our correspondents walked by Bartley's and noticed that the front window had been shattered. As we reported earlier, the window was boarded up by 12:27 a.m.


Bartley's Marks Its 50th Year

To commemorate Mr. Bartley's Golden Jubilee, we sat down with Joseph Bartley, the restaurant's founder and namesake, to find out what it's been like to spend 50 years in Harvard Square.
