Cambridge Named Number One City in New England
Fellow Cambridge residents, rejoice! According to GoLocalProv.com, Cambridge's unbeatable air quality—ranked number one in Massachusetts—and its thriving culture and diversity earned our fair city the title of the number one city in New England. The report cites Cambridge's highest median income and lowest unemployment rate in Massachusetts as well as the statistic that 72.4 percent of Cambridge's adult population hold a bachelor's degree or higher. Also, according to MSNBC, Cambridge is the most walkable city in the country, thanks to the beautiful architecture, which ranges from the modern skyline around MIT to the historic ivy walls of Harvard Square.

Scuffle Outside J.P. Licks Caused Broken Window
If you're one of the many people who walk by J.P. Licks on a daily basis, you may have noticed something different these past few days: one of the store's windows, until Monday, was boarded up. The window was shattered when a scuffle between two unidentified groups on Mass. Ave. resulted in one male being pushed into the window and breaking it at approximately 12:45 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the police report.

The John Harvard Statue Moves from Memorial Hall to Its Present Location

March 22, 1924: John Harvard Statue To Move to New Position Before University Hall Action has been taken by the Corporation of the College to have the statue of John Harvard removed from its present site on the Delta, west of Memorial Hall, to a position on the west side of University Hall, where the bronze, map of the Yard at present stands. No definite time has been set for moving the statue, but it is expected that the work will be completed by the middle of May.
