HUDS Winter Menu Launches Early

As warm winter coats and gloves have found their way back into Harvard Square, so have student favorites like Korean barbecue found their way back into Harvard’s dining halls.

Where to Find Food in the Dark

With power still out and students getting hungry, Harvard University Dining Services is offering partial meals and directing students to Quad dining halls, a HUDS chef said Thursday afternoon.

Hillel Revisions

Harvard Hillel revised its sign leading into the dining hall to encourage students to respect the traditions of Kosher dining, while also rewording its message to emphasize Hillel’s inclusiveness.

HUDS Number Twelve in the Country?

To all the students long tired of the assortment of Ranger cookies, tofu, and chickwiches awaiting them at the end of the line in Annenberg, it might be time for a reality check—or at least one website thinks so. Harvard: Complicit in Promoting Communism?

Harvard University—center of truth, knowledge, and communism? It seems Bloomberg News has finally caught on to the trend. A Nov. 9 article entitled "Harvard-Trained Communists Vie for Power as Party Gathers" describes a series of executive training programs at Harvard's Kennedy School in which many of the world's leading communists have participated. While Bloomberg focused on Kennedy School graduates such as Li Yuanchao, Chen Deming, and Bo Guagua (all of whom are associated with the communist party elite) we at Flyby are surprised they didn't pick up on some other more obvious communist tendencies right at the university's center. Herewith, a closer look at what might have given Harvard away as a breeding ground for communism. The initiative for the poster started over Currier's emailing list as a gesture to show the house's appreciation for the staff that came to work during Hurricane Sandy.

Students Give Dining Hall Staff a Standing Ovation

While you spent the day in pajamas scrolling through your newsfeed thinking about all the homework you should be doing, Harvard University Dining Services went about their business as usual, grilling your veggie burgers and dishing out quinoa. When all of Harvard shut down for the third time in its entire history, HUDS was one of the few staff services that did not get to stay home. For their hard work, students and staff decided to show their gratitude through a standing ovation.
