Groups of people gathered at Memorial Church last night to celebrate the life of Cote K. Laramie '14. The church was decorated with colorful paper cranes, part of an initiative of Pforzheimer House to make 1000 paper cranes in memory of Laramie.

MemChurch Café is a new weekly that Memorial Church is hosting every Wednesday from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. for all members of the Harvard community. Whether or not you attended the service, anyone is welcome to stop by and enjoy the free food!

Sparks House Undergoes a Color Change

Sparks House—historic landmark and former private residence to the late Reverend Peter J. Gomes—has undergone a color change. Recently a bright shade of canary yellow, the House has now been painted a taupe tone, restoring the house to its original color that dates back over 150 years.

As members of the Nichiren Buddhist Community chant the Nam Myoho Renge Kyo sutra, friends line up to participate in the offering of roses and incense at the service of remembrance and thanksgiving for the life of Wendy Chang '12 in Memorial Church. The Crimson Key Society and S.G.I. showed their appreciation for their beloved former member and friends shared their reflections on her unforgettable laughter and dynamic personality.

President Drew Fausts appoints Jonathan L. Walton, Professor of Religion and Society at Harvard Divinity School, as Pusey Minister in the Memorial Church and Plummer Professor of Christian Morals, effective July 1.

Rev. Jonathan L. Walton Will Replace Gomes as Pusey Minister

Reverend Jonathan L. Walton, a Harvard Divinity School professor, has been appointed Pusey Minister in the Memorial Church and Plummer Professor of Christian Morals, the University announced Wednesday. Walton is an ordained Baptist minister who received tenure as a professor at the Divinity School this semester.
