Men's Ice Hockey


Assistant captain Kyle Richter, shown here in earlier action, had 17 saves last night, as the Harvard men’s hockey team dropped its seventh straight game. Though the Crimson outshot Quinnipiac 35-20 on the night, Harvard falls to 2-8-0 overall on the season after last night’s 3-1 loss.


COLD-BLOODED KILLORN

Junior forward Alex Killorn, shown here in previous action, has registered points in the Crimson’s last four games. In last night’s contest against Merrimack, Killorn scored Harvard’s lone goal; he is the lineup’s leading scorer with four goals on the season. Despite his contributions, the rest of the Crimson offense has struggled against recent opponents.


Mike and Ike

Senior Michael Biega, shown above in earlier action, was a critical part of Harvard's second goal against Dartmouth. The Big Green then blew the game wide open, ultimately beating the Crimson by a score of 8-2.

To say the Harvard men’s hockey team faces a number of challenging opponents on the ice is a true statement—but it looks like the Crimson’s competition is making an impact off the ice as well.

For the first weekend of the holiday season, there certainly wasn’t much cheer in a packed Bright Hockey Center. The Harvard men’s hockey team was blown out, 8-2, by conference rival Dartmouth last night.


Men's Hockey Drops Two Close Conference Road Games

On Friday night at Princeton, assistant captain goaltender Kyle Richter only allowed one goal—often sufficient for a win. On Saturday at Quinnipiac, the team tallied four scores, also normally boding well for victory.


Paying Rence

Junior Rence Coassin, shown here in earlier action, notched his first goal of the season in the second period at Quinnipiac on Saturday, a shorthanded tally that pulled Harvard within one goal of the host Bobcats at 4-3. Coassin also notched an assist in the game, which the Crimson lost, 5-4.


Hockey Splits New York Road Trip

While the Harvard men’s hockey team matched St. Lawrence and Clarkson relatively evenly, what ultimately separated the Crimson from these two teams was how it played in the second period.


Be Like Mike

Senior Michael Biega, shown here in earlier action, scored Harvard’s only goal in a 3-1 loss to Clarkson on Saturday night. The Crimson started the road trip on a positive note, beating St. Lawrence, 4-2.
