Crimson Matches Ranking, Takes Fifth at Nationals
Harvard ended its team season on a high note, finishing fifth in the College Squash Association Team Championships this past weekend, as co-captain Colin West won his last three matches for the Crimson squad.
Q-Westing for Glory
Co-captain Colin West, shown here in earlier action, solidified his No. 2 ranking by winning each of his matches in New Haven, Conn. at the CSA team championships. The senior was the only competitor to win in the team’s opening match against Princeton and helped Harvard take fifth overall.
King of the Hill
Junior Richard Hill came away with a 3-1 win in Harvard’s first meeting with Princeton Feb. 7, when the Crimson fell at home to the Tigers, 7-2. Now No. 5 Harvard prepares to again face No. 4 Princeton, this time in the quarterfinal round of the College Squash Association Team Championships Friday.
Road to Team Title Starts With Old Foe
Tomorrow afternoon at Yale’s Payne Whitney Gymnasium, the Crimson will have a chance at retribution for its recent loss, as it faces off in a rematch against the Tigers in the quarterfinals of the College Squash Association National Team Championships.

The Bantams swept the event at their own Kellner Center, overpowering No. 5 Harvard 9-0 with five match-ups ending 3-0 in Trinity’s favor.

Junior Richard Hill and the Harvard men’s squash team could not feel at the top of their game against top-ranked Trinity, as the Crimson suffered a 9-0 sweep. Given the Bantam’s 217-game winning streak, the entire team expressed optimism that Harvard kept pace in some matches.

The Harvard men’s squash team’s quest for an undefeated season came to an end on Saturday, as the No. 5 Crimson (4-1) fell, 7-2, to No. 3 Rochester (5-2) after a series of close point-for-point matches ended in the Yellowjackets’ favor.
