Harvard Falls to Tigers, Still Seeks First Season Victory
After its last contest at Rivier was postponed due to inclement weather, the Harvard men’s volleyball team was forced to endure a different kind of storm on Saturday, as a torrent of Tiger hits and kills proved to be too much for the Crimson (0-5).

Freshman setter Rob Lothman, shown here in earlier action, posted a strong effort for the men’s volleyball team, recording 20 assists over three sets. Co-captain Gil Weintraub also notched 12 kills, but the three frames marked a Princeton sweep of the Crimson, sending Harvard to its fifth straight loss.

Winless Streak Extended to Four
Plagued by inconsistent serving and confronted with a strong attack, the Crimson (0-4) fell in straight sets to Baruch (10-2) in front of a home crowd at the Malkin Athletic Center last night.

Despite the return of co-captain Gil Weintraub, Harvard dropped its home opener to Baruch in straight sets last night. Weintraub and fellow co-captain Erik Kuld each had 16 kills for the Crimson.
Crimson Rallies, But Can’t Complete Comeback
There were moments during the Harvard men’s volleyball team’s 3-2 loss at Endicott (5-2) on Friday when the players seemed to have their first victory of the season at their fingertips.

Sophomore Matt Jones was one of three Harvard players to finish the night with double-digit kills, tallying 15. Classmate Nicola Ivica notched 12 kills, while co-captain Erik Kuld chipped in 18 in the five-set loss.
Volleyball Suffers Season-Opening Sweep
It can only go up from here for the Harvard men’s volleyball team (0-2), which lost its first two contests of the season this weekend against Juniata (1-1) and St. Francis (5-1) over the weekend.

Co-captain Erik Kuld led Harvard with 12 kills in Saturday’s loss at Juniata as the Crimson struggled out of the gates in its opening weekend. Harvard was swept by Juniata on Saturday night before falling, 3-1, at St. Francis on Yesterday. Sophomore Matt Jones had 27 kills on the weekend.
